On the Shoulders of Heroes
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Domains: Chaos, Destruction, Evil, Trickery
Symbols: Lightning flashing, a goblin
Appearance: Who sees Hiisi sees a grey, bald man with a cruel smile. He wears a dark suit of leather armour, covered by a robe woven from spider webs. He fights with a staff carved from bones and a curved sacrificial dagger.
Personality: Hiisi is a double-dealing, malicious god who is rather lazy than tired. He lets his helpers do his bidding and rewards them with the riches of others. He despises Ukko and Ilmatar. He somehow became “protector” of Goblinkind, although he more often than not treats his followers as filth. This doesn’t mean, however, that the God allows others to do the same.
Offerings: Hissi welcomes all sacrifice, the more the better. Among his favourites are the lives of good, intelligent beings. Treasures for Hiisi are burned in hot furnaces, or pyres, together with living creatures. His temples are dank, dark places on the edge of society.
Followers: Goblins, some evil men, orcs and hobgoblins worship Hiisi. According to some tales wicked men have build a towering black monastery in his name, the abbey of gallows. It’s exact location is well hidden, but the blood wine that is found in goblin camps must come from somewhere..
